Indonesia's Pertamina discovers new oil reserve PDF Print E-mail
Indonesia's state-run oil and gas firm Pertamina claimed that it had found a new oil reserve in the West Java town of Cirebon, local press said Friday.
The new reserve is estimated to contain up to 11 million barrels of oil, reported leading news website Detikcom, quoting a government official.

The new reserve at Randegan Utara field in Cirebon, about 200 km east of Jakarta, is expected to begin production within the next five or six years, said Kardaya Warnika, head of the Oil and Gas Executive Body (BP Migas).

Pertamina also has drilled a new oil well with potential output of 300,000 barrels per day.
